An eight-channel transmitter Robbe/Futaba FX-18 working at frequency FM 40MHz, channel 56, crystal 40,735. Transmitter is expanded with Robbe/Futaba FX Multi-Switch-Prop for another eight channels. The frequency 40MHz is by General Authorization of Telecommunication Authority dedicated for all types of RC models. It is preferrable for models of RC submarines which require good underwater penetration of RC signal.

In Akula is installed an 8-channel receiver Robbe/Futaba FP-R 138DF 40MHz FM. Receiver is accompanied by decoder Robbe/Futaba Multi-Switch-Prop 12+2 for eight more channels.

In Schnellboote is installed smaller sized 8-channel receiver MZK Octava 40Mhz FM.
